Vilanculos is a protected Marine National Park and the gateway to the famous Bazaruto Archipelago. This place is truly a scuba diver’s paradise with crystal clear waters and a range of soft coral ridges, reefs  and the opportunity to encounter dolphins, whales and even the rare dugong. The reefs are located within a short boat ride's distance and offer the chance to encounter potato bass, kingfish, barracuda, devil mantas, honeycomb rays and numerous shark species.
And there is even high chances for Whaleshark encounters from February to the beginning of November and Humpback whales between June and October.
All this really makes scuba diving the islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago a paradise not to be missed!
