Mention Tofo Mozambique and most divers immediately think Whale sharks and manta rays. Off Praia do Tofo, Inhambane, whale shark alley (a plankton rich current fed corridor) attracts whale sharks all year round. Sightings are almost guaranteed. This alone will put Mozambique on many divers’ bucket lists. But those who prefer gourmet dinners and luxury would be bether of choosing to stay somewhere else!

Mozambique has a tropical climate with two seasons: the wet season from October to March and the dry season from April to September.

Temperatures during dry season are usually around 20-25°C and humidity is low. So your best bet for a good weather dive holiday in Mozambique would be by visiting during the dry season.

Fly into Inhambane International Airport (Airport Code INH). There are flights from Johannesburg International Airport, and Maputo international airport to Inhambane airport most days of the week.  Flights are with LAM (www.lam.co.mz)

Once at Inhambane airport Tofo is just a 20 minutes drive.
