The Male Atoll is just a short speed boat ride away from the International Airport of Male. One can hop of the plane, into the speedboat and arrive on his pristine tropical island with swaying palm trees and pure white beaches surrounded by crystalline lagoons of varying shades of blue in just a short time. And don't think this Atoll is less  for diving then the more remote atolls. The diving at South Male Atoll features fish in schools of sizeable numbers, big pelagic fish, plenty of soft corals and caves as well as one very good wreck. It is also considered one of the best liveaboard diving areas in the Maldives!

If you're looking for fine dry weather without clouds and with lots of sunshine then you should visit the Maldives during the North East monsoon between December and April. This is the dry season and the high season. Between May and November the skies can be cloudy, humidity is higher and rain is more likely. This is the low season, and there are fewer tourists and prices are lower.

First off you will have to get to Malé International Airport www.maleairport.com (Airport code MAL). This is the main international airport in the Maldives. It is located on Hulhule Island in the North Male Atoll near the capital island Male.

After this you are most likely to go to your island by speedboat.
