Located one mile west of the Belize Barrier Reef, Caye Caulker is a small island just a short boat ride away from mainland Belize and from what we understand this is the place to go for impressive wall dives. The island has a relaxing atmosphere with white sand streets and golf carts for transportation. But what makes Caye Caulker really special is it's proximity to the most fabulous dive hot spots Belize has to offer like Turneffe Atoll, The Blue Hole, Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Half Moon Caye and many many more.
This place is definitely the next to visit on our list!

The weather is usually quite pleasant year around. If you're looking for fine dry weather without clouds and with lots of sunshine then you should visit Caye Caulker between December and April. This is the dry season and the high season. Between May and November the skies can be cloudy, humidity is higher and rain is more likely. This is the low season, and there are fewer tourists and prices are lower. But if you want to see whalesharks then this is the time!
Fly into Belize International Airport (Airport Code BZE). There are a number of flights from Houston, Miami, and New Orleans. From the airport you can take a 15 minute flight into Caye Caulker with Maya Island Air (www.mayaislandair.com) or Tropic Air (www.tropicair.com). Or a cheaper option is to take the water taxi for 30 minutes (www.cayecaulkerwatertaxi.com).
